Retirement records and separate disclosures for mediation

Make a fund-by-fund list before entering retirement information: institution, scheme type, member or policy reference, statement date and the value supplied. FDF1's pension-interest section asks for fund information and a present value. Its other-income section separately addresses income such as pensions and living annuities. An interest's value is not the same as a monthly payment from it.

Use the latest relevant fund statement or obtain clarification from the fund. If the available statement is old or the value is uncertain, explain the date and limitation instead of presenting a guessed current figure. Do not infer that a stated value can be withdrawn now. Questions about the legal meaning of pension interest, allocation on divorce or withdrawal restrictions need advice specific to the fund and matter.

For income actually received, record the payment period, deductions and whether the figure is gross or net. Keep the supporting payment record alongside the fund statement. Review whether an amount has already been entered elsewhere before adding it to estimated income. The form's categories help organise information; they do not resolve disputed legal treatment.

In mediation, each party should prepare their own disclosure and have an opportunity to review it independently. A structured form can be useful even where that particular form is not mandatory. Agree with the mediator on valuation dates, income periods, documents to exchange and how to identify gaps. Rule 43 and Rule 58 court procedures are not interchangeable with a mediation process.

Keep a short issues list rather than merging disputed numbers into an agreed total: missing statements, different dates, estimates and disputed ownership. Identify agreed figures separately from figures requiring explanation. One party's working draft should not silently become the other party's statement; the app keeps browser drafts account-specific and Firm sharing requires an explicit owner action.

Review the completed form, supporting documents and any unresolved issue with the appropriate adviser before signing or exchange. Both PDF formats use the same submitted answers. A disclosure PDF is preparation material, not a settlement agreement, a pension calculation service or a drafted application; application drafting remains Coming soon.
