When a spouse hides income: what the courts do about it

An unexplained difference between a statement, a payslip and a disclosure is a question to investigate, not proof of concealment by itself. Start with the specific record and relevant period. Keep suspected gaps separate from established facts, and do not replace missing evidence with accusations.

Prepare your own form from source records. Identify an account, receipt or business interest that requires explanation and note why the available records appear inconsistent. A clear comparison is more useful than a general assertion that someone must earn more because of their lifestyle.

Ask your attorney about appropriate requests for information and any court procedure needed. The consequence of incomplete disclosure depends on the applicable rules, evidence and circumstances. There is no universal automatic-dismissal rule, and this tool cannot predict an adverse inference, costs outcome or refusal of relief.

Keep records lawfully obtained. Do not enter another person's account or obtain private documents without authority. Upload only documents you are entitled to use, review their relevance, and obtain advice about disclosure and filing obligations.
